it does look like a good deal. Just what I'm looking for too. Timing just isn't right for me at the moment. Hope to find something like this for similar money in the spring...

This is an incredible price (assuming the DME and PPI would be clear) -- surprised it's not been snapped up yet.

Is it just me or is it rare to see a Porsche actually sold on ebay?

Looks like a great deal. Pretty spartan as far as interior options, but it sounds like it has most all of the important performance bits.

I've seen it happen a lot more lately with all of these Internet only high-end dealers.

When looking for mine, I definitely looked on eBay and Autotrader but ended up going with a local dealer that worked a better deal than I could have gotten on the internet. I knew CPO was something I really wanted and that can only be worked through a Porsche dealership.

That being said, dealerships are able to sell CPO vehicles via the internet so it could be a steal for someone. Remember to factor in shipping costs as well. Shipping in an enclosed carrier can be material especially if it's coast to coast. That alone was enough for me to see the economic value of buying from someone local that I can grow into the car with.

Good luck to whoever ends up purchasing that beautiful car!

Poleposition,

Not at all! There was an '07 997 TT with ~27K miles (a bit high for my tastes) that sold at Boardwalk Porsche in Plano, TX for $79.5 a month ago. This was a Porsche Certified Car, too!

I think the sweet spot for a well-optioned 997TT ('07 or '08) right now is in that range you were mentioning. I personally thought it was worth ponying up for the CPO and I know of a couple seemingly clean CPO TT's out there right now that I can turn you towards if you want. Most of these are guys I talked to when I bought my car but decided to go local.

PM me if you want some of their information.

Good luck!
