Can, you really have gone off the deep end on this my friend, I don't know what your beef is with me or Ruf but it has grown tiresome. All I ever tried to say was the Ruf conversion performs better on my car than the giac flash ( which was problematic for some reason on my car). What is so hard to understand?? I was very unimpressed with the giac lack of customer service, you know this. Maybe your experience has been better, good for you.
My car is night and day different at the track with the conversion. This reaffirms my belief that the Ruf makes more tq than my giac, which also correlates with their "pretty" dyno. I have many track laps on my turbo with both so I think it is a fair comparision. Call it a butt dyno or track experience, whatever you like, I don't care. Hopefully I'll get my Traqmate next year and have time to gather some data. For now, if you or Scott have an issue with a manufacturer's data then you need to take it up with them. I am a very satisfied client, and I have nothing to prove. I have provided the number for Ruf in Germany and Dallas, take a deep breath and give them a call.
I'm done, I gotta go back to work now.

For street racing and bragging rights, go to any of the US tuners like Protomotive, Switzer, EVOMS, etc.... they will all give you big HP for street racing against rice rockets, Supras, Vipers, and Vettes. Real racing is a different story.

I don´t think anybody here can say what power kit is best for GT2, all depence of what you are going to use your car for? here people use there cars different and have different opinions. You have to read a lot and ask people with GT2´s how there cars handle with different tuning kit´s etc.

I respect US tuners but some of them make me want to cry when I see what they done to German art.

I have a 997 GT2 and went for RS-Tuning, my Christmas present.

Given that you have repeatedly harrassed 911TurboS2 to prove his car's crank HP with an engine dyno plot, I politely ask-can you at minimum do same on this thread and publish the curves from the 7GT2 dyno you referenced?
Al,

Here's the graph you asked for. No harrassment necessary. The same car also ran a 5.44 60-130 with some pretty serious traction issues:

RUF USA (RAC) is certainly not an easy company to deal with from a distance. I have a RUF and get zero support from them. They never answer the phone and will not return calls.

That has not been my experience with RAC, they have been very helpful to me on several occasions. I usually call or email Hans, Wayne or Mark directly.

Can, I thought that was what the accelerator was for...to control the amount of hp.

I have never had a problem contacting anyone from Ruf...with any issue. Whether it's service, questions, or transport...and I live well over 1000 miles away.

Kidding aside, in corners the Turbo is definitely more tricky at the point of power-on past apex; torque comes on abruptly and early at 3000. And this only worsens with a tuned ECU -- that extra power has to go somewhere. One has to be extra careful just so one's car doesn't get "introduced" to the far curb .

I am too lazy to post the curves, but it's fun to look at Porsche dyno "sketches" in the manuals, the point of 997S Naturally Aspirated engines' more linear response is easily seen: in NA engine, the torque rises gradually from 2k to 5k or so; whereas in Turbo, there is a brickwall torque response at the (claimed) 2000-3000 rpm.

Thanks M-M, look forward to the results. I hope to fit the rest of my 600PS package (headers, cats, airfilter) in a few days....will take pics of the install. Reinstalled the upgraded ECU a few weeks ago.

What're your impressions of the ECU?
