RS Tuning screwed the first attempt to remap my ECU. They got it right on the second attempt but 5 weeks in total had passed and the Melbourne weather had gone from warm to hot. I am guessing with the very high IAT at present (Melbourne temp today 44C) the Motronic is pulling back timing. Second reason is I am still yet to install the new headers & 100 Cell race cats.
I am expecting with cooler weather and headers/cats installed I will see a noticeable improvement in performance.

Cheers

What are the claimed gains w/ chip alone? Have you dyno'd before and after?

I'd love to hear the conversation:

"Hey Mr RS, can you leave that 4.3 litre high compression VTG, Secan race engine which you tested at 750hp on your engine dyno and tell me why my car with just the chip which you developed and signed off to work with your 100 cell cats and headers only makes 490RWHP on my Dynojet"

I think you would get a dose of customer service RS style (ie non)

RS Tuning only provides numbers based on the complete package. (no numbers quoted for chip only).

Will be installing the headers/cats/airfilter on Friday....will post pics of the install.

Re Dyno numbers, still yet to find a suitable local location with appropiate cooling fans for a Turbo P-Car

To much heat!

When you install the exhaust it will relieve the back pressure and you will see a massive jump in power.

It is a complete package and back pressure is a killer!

My car is that fast so I can't see why yours would be different!

Now in your case with the very hot weather, any prolonged use will bring in the debate of upgrading the IC.
