There are several reasons you might hear the noise, as you have read. It is more prevalent in cars with lowering springs, as you will tend to hear the spring bind when turning left/right, in addition to slow movement over bumps.

Many go to the dealer for inspection where they are told everything is fine and the noise is to be expected. Certainly could need some grease or replacement part but often the dealer's states it's "normal" after their inspection.

The question then becomes, all the being equal and the car does not need parts, would you rather have the suspension modified or go back to stock? I bet most simply live with it.

If your car is stock and makes noises it never did before, I would get a second opinion should your first stop not provide the answers/solution you seek.
