2008 Turbo Cab Price Check

Hello Everyone,
I've been a lurker for quite a while, learning as much as possible from all of you. I'm finally looking at pulling the trigger on a 2008 Turbo Cab. with 11,800 miles. A few questions for the group:

1) It's currently listed at 103K not CPO. Is this a competitive price?
2) Trying to take advantage of the year end deals - what would you offer?

A bit more info: Meteor Grey/Blk Full Leather Int., Tiptronic S, Htd Frnt Seats, Telephone PCM Module, Chrono Package.

3) Anything else I should be wary of or look out for? It's an 08' so I'm assuming it's still under its New Car Warranty.

Thanks All!

Be careful about how long you'll have warranty coverage. 2008s were available as early as July 2007 so if the 'in service date" started then, your warranty would only be good for 18 months.

I leased my 2008 coupe in August 2007 and am in the process of returning it as (in my view) it is not worth the residual (90k) and Porsche Financial will not discuss a reduced price. I've located several others with less miles, more options, less cost and a CPO warranty than my car and will probably purchase one of them (if I stay with Porsche).

One thing I have noticed is that several dealers have cars listed on the Porsche website at significantly higher prices than they've listed the same cars on Autotrader.com or cars.com. I expect this is to keep the "corporate Brand police" at bay.

Agreed. I'd offer low-mid 90s with CPO

Thanks everyone for the input. They're holding firm at 103K and want to charge 3K for the CPO! I guess dealers aren't has hard up as I had thought. They're saying there are no 08 Turbo Cabs for under 100K.

do a nationwide search if you're open to buying from another state. I do agree that '08 TT cabs are not plentiful at this time. Good luck!

A quick search on Autotrader yields one at $89k at Tischer Porsche, one at $99k at Napleton Porsche, and many others for less than $100k at non-Porsche dealers. There's no doubt in my mind that you can get most of these for less than they're asking. Beware of dealer smoke.

Their price seems high considering the recent wholesale info:

Great Info everyone, thanks.
-The under 100K cars are showing extremely high miles (20K a year or more) - Livermore Porsche doesn't have the car listed.
-The wholesale numbers are a great reference.

Can anyone confirm, if I purchase a car from an independent dealer and it's still under new car warranty, can I take it to an authorized Porsche Dealer and purchase a CPO? Or do I have to purchase it initially from an Authorized Porsche Dealer. I'm getting two different answers on this.
I'm trying to take advantage of the year end thing and am hoping to pull the trigger on one within the next 48hrs. I'll keep everyone posted.

In the winter that 08 should be at 95k ...once you hit April/May...dealers stand firm because of cab season.

If you buy from a private seller/non Porsche dealer you can not just take it to a Porsche dealer to get it certified bcause the dealers won't do it...it's the only card they have got as an advatage from the private seller market. I have heard of someone having the dealer "buy the car back" in order for them to CPO the car and sale it back to the owner...this seems like a waste of time and money...just buy from the dealer if CPO is a must IMHO
