Techart vs. Vorsteiner Steering wheel?
Jason has been involved in a demanding "relationship" and hasn't had much time for this forum or cars in general. He should becoming more involved when he returns from a ski vacation.
Lol, this should be on their web site as a testimonial. Oh wait, never mind.
At first, the time frame really didn't bother me that much because it was winter so I figured 6 weeks wasn't a big deal, but now that 6 weeks has become like 14 it is getting really f*cking annoying. It gets even more annoying when you call the company and the answer is "These things take time..", or "I don't really know.." I think it's hysterical. It's "supposed" to arrive sometime this week. Do I believe it?.. Absolutely not, as it was supposed to arrive every week for the last 6, but we shall see. It's all good though, I look at it this way... I've built plenty of cars and will continue to build cars for myself and my friends and there's plenty of money being thrown around. All of the problems and delays certain companies have displayed and the inability to correct them along with the lack of anwers just aid me in knowing where to throw it and where not to in the future. -Showking
Are you out cash at this point, or just waiting? Years ago I bought a 550 spyder, and had to pay 15K up front (on 27K car) and just wait, and wait and wait. For about 8 months! Zero feedback from the vendor, I had to fly out from CT to CA and collect the car myself. Talk about harrowing.
Wow!! That is a crazy story! I'm not out any cash really because even though I paid for the wheel in December, I purchased it through Vivid Racing (who are quite possibly the last reputable shop around) and I shouldn't have much longer to wait, but if push came to shove I'm sure Dan would look into the matter more deeply. So far it's not that crazy, plus Jon over at Vivid has been on top of it trying to get status updates daily. I'll see what happens this week. -Showking
WOW - Strong statement. I would like to think that all of the sponsors are reputable but am sure that 98+% are. Certainly the few that I have personally dealt with directly have been above reproach. Sorry for going off topic.

I think he meant of the vendors he's dealt with, not in general.
Yeah, I've dealt with some great people over the last 12 years or so... Vivid, Mach-V, JL-Audio, AudioControl, Alpine, Werks, Sparco, HRE, RPM North....to name a few. But recently I've noticed that sometimes no matter how nice you are, or how much money you spend, or how much exposure you bring a company there are still times where you get no customer satisfaction whatsoever with either shoddy parts, horrible lead times, or customer service reps that don't know wether they're living or not. For example.... I've had one company tell me to put the wrong product in my car after they sent me the wrong item with a response stating "Technically they fit, they're just a little smaller.." -Seriously... ?? I appreciate the fact that the guys at Vivid have been pretty helpful from the get-go. I see that kind of service far and few between these days.
P.S. Dan... give Jon a raise. lol
