Pbox result-comments/critiques?
I'm throwin' this out there gentlemen. Here's my first attempt at using a P-box as well as attempting a 1/4 run.
I want to put my mods to a test. Conditions: 58 F, calm, 93 octane.
1/4 mile results:
0-60 5.8 (very soft launch, not a launch at all really, didn't want to roach my clutch)
124.0 Terminal Speed (13.8 s)
Note: Elevation 1000 ft which corresponds to about 7% less O2 than at sea level.
Waddaya think?

No, my best guess is that it's a "stage 2" Sachs whatever that means. The guy who built the clutch wouldn't tell me what all the components are, claiming "we don't reveal our trade secrets". It feels great, however, better than stock. He said it would hold and it's doing that for now. We'll see what happens down the road. I'm guessing it's a 764 pressure plate and possibly GT3RS clutch disc, but that's just a guess.

It is a little hard to interpret your run as it appears that you really granny launched it and took it easy on the shifts. You should ask Scott "divextreme" or the other subject matter experts on the 60-130 thread on the 996TT forum for their opinions. I would have expected you to trap 130 or better, as I believe your setup is putting down mid to high 500 whp?
Man, do I have a ways to go. Good to know these benchmarks-Thanks. It is a little hard to interpret your run as it appears that you really granny launched it and took it easy on the shifts. The "trap speed" you posted is not the actual trap speed like at a drag strip. The speed the Pbox gives you is the terminal speed at the end of the run. The trap speed is typically 2-3 MPH slower than the PBox terminal speed. Thanks for posting your result.

93. I was thinking the same. It looks like slope gradually diminishes from 2-3-4.
When we talked awhle back I felt something was off . I just am not sure what .
I also am not sure what a " soft launch" is.
There was some debate awhile back with a guy on the 997 section who was dropping his clutch and claiming wheel hop and most called him out on it --explaining that this rough method of driving was not only bad for the car but that it also wasn't efficient. Efficiency is so important. That's why the PDK turns ups a great time with a stock car.
To me the best launch comes with not guessing the point of engagement . It's like competitive diving or gymnastics where there's an element of timing to nail the entry or landing. The Turbo clutch with power assist .. does not make this easy .
Even still .. those times just seem like repeated tests and looking at the average might be the next step to get a clearer picture.
