It draws a lack of comparison on every level ..except one - ego.
An ego will not instruct the technicain how to fix it.
An ego will not find a buyer when an unsatisfied owner wants to sell it.
An ego will not retain its value with miles.
An ego will not prevent the negative attention of any expensive car .. but especially a Ferrrai which practically screams "look at me" .
An ego will not make that ordered part arrive any quicker.
An ego can not repair the second guessing of why the person bought the car in the first place . The short term gain of "wow I got a new Ferrrai" can become a long term headache as it can sit on auto trader a long time as a used car.
An ego may be charmed by the fantasy --but it can not change the reality .. that (in my opinion) . this car is an overpriced, over rated, fantasy illusion and can actually serve as an example that something with high cost and exterior beauty -- is NOT always better .
Who do you think purchases a Ferrari? People not made of money?
People who buy ferrari's don't care about 0-60 numbers, we're not talking about GTR or Z06 owners here! They are buying exclusivity and the right to wear the moniker of being labeled a "connoisseur" (see movie Gone in 60 seconds).
I don't

Just weighing in here. The thing i like about my new Turbo, is its only an expensive super car to enthusiasts. Otherwise its just another 911. No Big deal a Porsche ya they are 80K us or something but they are all kind of the same. The Ferrari screams look at me. In a global economic crisis I am not impacted. Look at me in red, It is a circus. Today like other days I parked my 997.2 in the lot at the supermarket to buy milk. No Scene nothing exciting except when you hit the gas and kick that Ferrari's ***.
about as shallow a statement as any shallow actor can ever make.
Lets look at it as a dollars to dollars comparison. Which would you choose a Ferrari 458 or a new TurboS and a GT3RS new? Value is about the same. You get a daily driver porsche that will spank a 458 in a straight line and you get a track porsche that will equal it on a track. Both of which are a meeellion times more reliable than the horsey.
