Couple more 15 minute mods

Decided to drop in a BMC panel filter for the simple reason I wanted to hear a bit more turbo noise. Install is very easy, pull directly up on the filter plastic cover and remove the bolts holding in the factory filter. Replace and then pop on the cover.

You do hear the turbos spooling up more and overall Im happy with the filter for $200 or so (from RSS). Little splash of red in the engine bay looks good to boot.

Second mod was swapping out the Hoen drop in dLED bulbs for their new dLED modules for 997 cars. The modules will last 5x as long as the drop in bulbs while providing better light coverage is the claim. The light looks a wee bit cleaner and whiter than the drop in dLED bulbs.

The pic is from a bit back so you can see how clean the white is, sorry for the grainy pic.

Cool mods, I got the BMC's from RSS too- as for the Hoen's I need to order some more bulbs as their first set has burned out already. I went to the site and they want me to email them? No cart to just pay via CC or phone to call and get them sent asap, do you have a better avenue to approach this?

Thanks in advance.

e-mail them, if you have older bulbs they typically let you upgrade for a discount. I always talk to Andreas.
also, burned outs probably warranty covered? check that first before buying.

Are the rear tailights easy to remove so that you can access the bulb?

just wondering if someone has pics or a write that they could post...

also, i'm on hoen's site right now and the rear bulbs are the 7507 bulb right?

If you're referring to the bulb lights, just take a look at the housing. 2 Philips head screws. 3 seconds per side. Done.
If you're talking about the taillights, pop the trunk, one Phillips head screw, slide out taillight. Again, 3 seconds per side.

The second is in the owner's manual. Not sure about the 1st.
