What would you expect to gain with this over the stock air tube on a car that has a reprogram and exhaust?

Is it larger all the way down?

Btw this is the raw picture. Like we do for the 996TT here, we would powdercoat it in any color you want and it includes couplers. We have it 3inch as far as we can go for clearance and fitment reasons with the stock intake and for those running stock or stock style intercooler upgrade. It is a 3.5inch diameter at the throttlebody. So this with our TB/Plenum Upgrade would be nice. We can make it with 3inch ends, but your would need to modifiy aftermarket intercoolers. We can supply couplers and aluminum for this.

I have not done a dyno for this on the stock 997TT like we did the 996TT. The 996TT added about 20HP.

Greetings,

The Champion Motorsport carbon fiber Y-pipe has the following internal sizing:

50.5mm at the narrowest point, 52.5mm beyond the hose barb groove.
90.5mm outlet at the narrowest point, 92.5mm beyond the hose barb groove. (these are nominal measurements, as consistencies will slightly vary in from part to part)

For reference, the standard OEM plastic Y-pipe has a 44.75mm inlet, and approximately 85mm outlet.

Most of the increase in internal sizing is gained due to the construction. CMS Werks1 components are constructed from 100% Pre-impregnated carbon fiber, reducing the wall thickness of the part to approximately 2mm. Our Y-pipe has the fit and finish of the OEM part externally, with the benefit of the larger Internal Diameter as a bonus.

Thanks,

Louis

Just had the IPD y-pipe put on tonight. Noticed a big kick in the mid range under full boost. I'll report back with more drive time. It's larger then the stock one and fits perfectly. Big thanks to Turbo Mike.

Hello,

We can supply custom y-pipe with several different dimensions.

We also use cnc designed y connection just before the throttlebody.

The angle of the connection is very important.

Which size or what kind of y-pipe do you need?

Regards,
Emre
