Dealership is your best bet...if not, you might have to take it to a good aftermarket shop with people who know your car like the back of their hand. Definitely not normal from what you are describing.

Does it sound like a thin metallic plate scraping? Does it happen at severe steering angle and with braking, more at slow speed?

I had the same problem -- it turned out to come from, I believe, that thin metallic plate right behind the brake disc. My tuner took the wheel off, and straightened it out. Well, he straightened something out in that area -- sorry I didn't ask as to exactly what the problem was, but he mumbled something to that effect. To give you an idea, it took 2 seconds and he did it with his hand.

Problem completely gone afterwards.

I had a grinding noise that felt almost like the car's differential was shot (only upon turns under power), and it turned out my motor mount was so degraded that it upset the driveline geometry enough to produce the vibrations during turns when I accelerated. A new motor mount solved the problem completely. Have your dealer check the condition of your motor mount.

Dealership checked it out, instantly noticed the noise and said it was NOT normal at all.

Good luck. Just back from 2 weeks away and read your post. Similar issue with my front diff. I found out by chance mine was losing oil from the seals. I was later told there was movement in the shafts causing the seals to weep. P dealer changed out front diff under warranty with a new one and the new one had a vibration in it (faulty)t. I was hen told none left in germany so they finally recently managed to find one in the states somewhere. They only just got it and plan fitting it next week now im back. I hope this one is good and there is still one left somewhere for you.
It seems these diffs can be a problem.

Wonderful news.... haha

Well, they are going to call me back at 11 this morning to let me know the status of finding a diff. If it's going to take them weeks, I'm going to get the car trailered back to my house for the time being.

I was lucky the new diff P fitted still allowed me some small use of the car although I parked it up for the past few weeks just in case it blew and left me stranded. P told me they scoured the states on advice from PAG who said one was in Cali so dont be surprised to hear if they cant get one for you at the moment. Im only hoping this next new one is going to be OK. P did offer me use of another car if I chose so maybe thats an option for you. My car only had @ 4500kms when the first one was dicovered leaky/faulty and the replacement had a vibration problem from installation. Maybe there has been a bad batch made that found its way into circulation and production and they are in the process of getting some new ones made that will stand up. I would have thought the new .2 has the same front diff as the .1 so why PAG couldnt supply immediately is a mystery. Im interested to know if P can supply you a new one immediately.

exact same problem here!

I was driving today, and all of a sudden, I heard the noise everytime I slow down at stop signs. I stopped and checked back wheels, all fine.

BTW: my car is one week old too
