997 Turbo lug nuts

I'm buying a set of black wheels for my 08 TT. Want to go with black lug nuts. Any suggestions for new ones that are equal to or exceed the factory lugs?
Thanks

If you want standard length go with titanium. If you want to use spacers give RSS a call as they have different length bolts in black.

I have a set of titaniums that I don't use anymore because I'm using spacers. PM me if interested.

If you have a ceramic coating shop in your area and can put your car on jack stands for awhile, try a black ceramic coating. I had my stock lug nuts ceramic coated, and they still look good after three years. Cost was about $60 and the shop did the job in one day.

Can you use OEM lug nut (size) if you run custom wheels specifically made for 997TT but wider? I presume you if you don't use spacers?

The main consideration becomes the chamfer on the nut matching the wheel. If it matches then you can use the stock nuts. If the chamfer doesn't match then there is a risk of the nut backing out. I've used the GT RS wider wheel (no spacers required) on my turbo with no problems.

Wow - I learn something everyday. Is there an easy way to check to see if chamfer matches? Is it obvious as not threading or seating tightly?

Thank you!
