Clutch stuck to floor? Help or advice?

Hi.

This morning, I went to start the car. The clutch just stuck to the floor and would not come back up? I used my foot and pulled it up -there was a pop.

I can drive the car, but there seems to be a great deal of play/looseness in the clutch pedal.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance!!

Do a search on this subject...it has been discussed quite frequently. Your clutch slave is probably out.

Mine did the same thing at the drag strip on Saturday. I had to pull it up to make the next shift. Sometimes it comes back and other times it stays on the floor.

I was told the slave needed to be replaced.

The slave cylinder needs replacing. It looks like a ball (globe shaped object),
and is under very high pressure. Make sure you know what you are doing if you
attempt it yourself

tyounker is infamous around these parts
I had the same thing happen to me and yes, the dealer replaced the slave and it has been fine since. Just my luck, this happened when I got my car back from valet parking it. I freaked out and thought the kid burned out the clutch. Needless to say I will never valet park again!
