I'm not a big fan of how the "tips" look when they are on the car.

Capristo is very nice and a bit exclusive. You're going to love it!

Very interesting choice.
It will be interesting to hear your impressions.
Regarding the tips... I would definitely recommend them to change that exhaust tip from 2 round openings to a single large one. It would look meaner. Post pics and videos when it comes!

thanks guys, we will see i usually wait a while for a product after its released, but this time i am taking a chance one cannot change the tips to one because the 2 holes are actually functional , one from the muffler and one from the cat directly (with the by pass valve) . they are bolted on and ceramic coated for heat i guess, i am not a big fan either but no choice. I will put the pics up when i get it.

Interesting choice. I am very interested in how it sounds. Capistro is known for making very exclusive high end products.

ya i know what you mean, it was very difficult for me as well. if i was going to spend ~4500 whats a few more dollars, LOL i only want to do it once, plus this has its own exhaust ecu that constantly monitors back pressure.

Agree on the tips. They are an ugly downside . The system also has a lot of clamps too .....reminds me of the techart system with the valves except its not all chrome shiney. Looks a lot like a tubi with valves. The clincher would have to be that it doesnt drone any more than stock in the closed valve setting coz if it does....yyyikes!!! I'd personally want a money back satisfaction garantee at the dollars. Keen to hear the final verdict tho.

Congrats & hope everything will work out well for you. It's good that we have a variety of exhausts on the forum -- more experience reported.

Looks like a very very high quality product. If the sound clip is consistent with sound in real life, fantastic sound also. The howl is almost Lamborghini like! Now, I want a live audition as well.

Good luck with the system. At the end of the day it has to be what YOU like, not what the rest of us like.

I think you're going to be very happy with it! Capristo makes a phenomenal exhaust! We've installed a few systems on Ferraris and I'm always blown away by the quality of their systems.

What makes the 997 Turbo system a little more expensive then some of the alternatives is the valving. The system comes with an "ECU" that's used to program the opening and closing of the exhaust valves. So let's say you want it to open at 3000rpm's, or at 50% throttle, or you want to manually open/close the valves....it's all programmable. Install is a little more involved then your average 997TT system. Plan a couple extra hours to wire and program the valve controller.
