997.2 Turbo PDK to 997.1 Turbo 6Speed
997.2 Turbo PDK to 997.1 Turbo 6Speed
So after a couple of months with this latest Gen PDK, I am convinced that this is the best stock offering of all the Turbos from the 996Turbo till now. With that said, coming from Sledgehammer 1, I felt that it was quick but just not enough for me. I have so little spare time that when I cruise/race I don't have time to lose.
Remedy, call the only other person I know that has a Sledgehammer/Switzer R911 or a 997.1 with the options I want in mint condition with 4900 miles and try and make a deal. Well after 1 day of negotiations and VBOXKING booking a flight up to Cleveland...I am happy to say the deal has been inked. I am now the proud owner of a 2007 Black on Black 997.1 Turbo with a Switzer R911 package (Sledgehammer 2?).
Thank you Aaron, for being such a great guy in this transaction and altering your busy schedule to make it up here before I left for Florida for the week. It was great meeting you and I know your 8 hour drive will allow you ample time to get intimate with the PDK. Also it was great to have shared lunch at Michael Simons burger joint before your journey back home. I hope you liked the burger!
Here are some phone pics of the car when VBOXKING owned her. Of course I will have ample pics in the coming weeks after my busy season slows down a little. I am so happy and thanks again Aaron. We will certainly be in touch soon.

Exactly, 2008 997.1 Turbo to 2010 997.2 Turbo to 2007 997.1 Turbo. I wonder if i am the first? Maybe...and thanks for the cheers.
I guess you missed the 6 speed. You could've always gone with the slightly modded pdk from Champion or a number of others. But hey, why worry about what could've been, just enjoy your new car. congrats.
Once you own a car with a LOT of power, it's very hard to go back to one without (the reason I'll probably never own a GT3).
Congrats, man. Great choice. Again.

Much agreed! Thank you man...and from my research its one of the nicest or maybe the nicest 997.1 Turbo that was available on the market that had what I wanted in options.
Well I made it home, finally! Ended up taking about 9 hours to go 560 miles. A few annoying traffic areas/accidents, some rain, and also a cop pulled me over just because my temp tag was not in the system (like 2 hours after I got it, duh!). He was really annoying, asking me all sorts of questions like, "Why did you buy a car from Ohio?", and "Arent there perfectly good dealerships in Tennesse?" He didnt even offer an appology for wasting my time for no reason. Very welcoming state troopers you have there in Ohio.
The car was great, it handled everything on the trip flawlessly. The pdk transmission lived up to the hype, 90% as smooth as an auto and definitely faster (and more efficient) at shifting than anything else, period. The car just loses zero boost or acceleration between the lightning fast shifts. I have to say the car looks better in person than it does in pictures, including the white wheels, but especially the red interior. The Aero kit also really sets it apart. On the few stops I made along the way it generated more attention than I expected. I really like the touch screen Nav screen and the new paddle shifters. I showed it to a friend on the way back (at night), and believe it or not, he pointed out those new lights you had changed out and told me about!
It was great meeting you Les, and it was also good to see David again. Both of you are stand up guys, and a lot of fun to talk cars with. The burger and marshmellow shake was REALLY good, thanks again for picking that place. I hope to see you guys down here this summer. Cant wait for you to be zooming around in your new ride as soon as you get it set up the way you want.

Yup
Thats a great point, that white in white with red interior is hawt like a car that should be in Miami or the OC. Who can argue with Black on Black as well. Both gorgeous
