Anyone approaching end of warranty?

I'm a year away from end of warranty (with 34K on the clock now) and plan on keeping the car. For anyone else who plans on keeping the car, what are you going to do? Find an aftermarket warranty, or go with "no protection". would be nice if porsche offered something.

Mine is an early TT, warranty expires at the end of June. I'm torn . . . My indy is telling me that these cars are very reliable and warranty may not be worth the cost in the long run and horror stories of third-party warranty companies refusing or making it difficult to get payed for performed work.

The car is at the dealer now, getting rear wheel bearing replaced after it started making noise at LRP DE event this week. I'm at 10.5K miles, a bit early for wheel bearing to go, imho

I'm considering EasyCare - Total Care coverage, about $4.3K for 7 year, 60K miles coverage with $100 deductible. Hmmmm, what to do?

07turbo is infamous around these parts
im up Oct 2010 ... just had the car in for the annual maintenance and the stealership noticed the clutch slave cylinder leadking fluid back into the reservoir. So i have to replcae the slave ... but covered under warranty. Thank goodness, b/c they gave me the cost of the parts alone and it was $700.

definately has me wondering if i should get the car inspected again by an idependent and hopefully avoid one of those "one month after warranty, something goes" scenario or go with an extended....

so far the car has been very reliable....this is only my second warranty issue.

Ha Ha. pics will be up hopefully on Wed. and of course I'll reach out to you to meet up.

All i'll say is some exterior mods are completed and i'll be driving to a Mid-Atlantic state on Monday for some perf. mods - kind of similar to what I already have, but just taken to the next level.

I'm trying to kick start the economy on my own!

lol, not an epic fail at all. Interesting to see if you can get an aftermarket warranty on a modded car.

I looked into Easy Care, which my dealer here in California uses, and they appear to be one of the better ones per my service advisor. I was quoted $2300 for 6 yrs/60K miles. Lexart said he was quoted $4300! That is way too high IMO. Maybe the rates back East are higher than the West Coast. Shop around because there is a huge markup on these warranties. I think it is worth buying if you plan on holding on to the car for a few more years. It is also a big selling point if you go to sell your car to a private party and can offer a warranty-or sell the car without the warranty and get a pro-rata refund for the unused portion

My easy care quote was $3,400 6/100k in So Cal. My tuner has advised me not to bother but I have 13 months to think it over

Do you recall the deductible that came with this quote? It makes a big difference, for example my 7y/60K $4.3K is with $100 deductible. Same coverage with $250 deductible was quoted at $3.8K. Still quite a big difference from $2.3K price you were quoted in Cali . . .

I'll shop around a bit and see if I can get lower quotes from local indy or a dealer selling Easy Care with pre-inspection. I would assume is should be a bit lower then buying direct from Easy Care over the phone.

Was this quote direct from Easy Care or from a local shop?

Do you recall, the deductible for this quote?

I need to make a go/no-go decision within a week or so as my warranty in over by the of the month
