inter cooler install help!

inter cooler install help!

I cant remember how the inter cooler intake vent sit under the wheel well, should the IC intake tab sit like that or should it go under the wheel well plastic. I think this is right but not sure. any feed back

bbywu, understood but your pic shows the wheel well cover, mine is removed, there is another plastic runner across the wheel well thats the one i am reffering to , it is actually behind the wheel well platic cover

When my ICs were pulled, they were mounted in front of the liner, as yours is in the photo.

thanks for the quick response, i tried installing behind the liner but just didnt look right... although it seems it should be sandwiched in so no air escaped. the way it is now there is a gap between the IC intake and the liner, hence the question as in the pic

I had Markski show me how to pull the ICs...after taking out all the bolts for the bracket, we pulled it out. When it came time to reinstall, it slides right back in, as you photographed. I don't think it has to be air tight as the funnel is assembled in the direction of airflow.

Which ICs did you upgrade to?

I had to remove them for exhaust install, just go finished. although i seriously thought about upgrading the IC , while i was there, but i just want to get the exhaust done so i can drive. havent narrowed down on IC. which one do you have if i may ask and what are your thoughts.

LOL , i thought you already had them, Yes i did take a look at tpc. BTW i also installed the gt2 mounts while i was there. they are lot stiffer then the turbo mounts. we will see how it feels. got to put all the plastic back and take it for a drive sometime soon.
