Ok guys, thoughts on tts cab?

Here's the deal. I have found my ultimate turbo cab build, a tts in white with sea blue full leather, blue top, etc. I am thinking of buying this car and holding onto to it for the long run, no trade up etc for at least 10 years. Is it worth it???
I could always order one in any 911 variant in this color combo, but this car is talking to me! I can certainly afford it and would love to have it. Thanks for any input you can offer!

I had an 03 M3 cab white with navy blue top, loved the color combo. It looked very nautical and rare. It should look much better though on a P-car. I thought you were considering the Panamera or Cayenne. Anyway my next P-car will be the TTs, so good choice.

If you are lucky enough that you can afford it and it's talking to you so eloquently,I have only one question....
...what are you waiting for?

DO IT!!!!

So we are going from Pana to TTS Cab...

I have a white TTS Cab with Red interior. The drive a lone will sell you. The exhaust sound is different than non S Turbo cars, don't know why. The PDK shifts rapidly and you'll just about leave anything out there behind when going from a dig.

You won't regret. I hope it's not a "long term" investment cuz the TTS do drop from what I've seen from the 996s

Now your looking at a proper Porsche for you.

I would say why no pictures yet. That is exactly what I am doing. Taking the a chance assuming I will not like the 991 Turbo when it comes out and looking at the new regulations they pass everyday the TTS maybe a one chance deal.

You most likely will have the only TTS like that in the USA that is worth something.

What options does it have.
Go for but hey I have told you that more than once

This is a very difficult and personal decision. From a neutral perspective I would be the first to wish you the best but would also in that same breath congratulate you if you resisted it.

It's very hard to walk away from the "Igottahaveit" urges of buying a great car . I walked away from a Gt3RS and now that time has past I still feel it was the best decision. In fact .. had I bought the RS .. it would have been hit by the road debris that my PDK car had to endure . These are things that most don't think about as they imagine themselves driving down the road in the new car .

On the other hand .. the car you have is two years old and eventually you'd have to replace it .

Is it the car you really want .. or the car you want to want ?
Because I can almost guarantee that in 10 years some of that novelty will erode.

Only you can answer that question , weigh all the factors, and decide.

BTW ... I did walk away from the Gt3RS ..
But I didn't walk away from my Turbo . Like youself I did trade in a rather new 997S for it.

I'm glad i did both decisions . Good luck as you make your choice .

As far as future value is concerned, the 997.2 tt could turn out pretty well. They will only be made in ‘10/11 and total for U.S. around 1000. Out of that, cabs in interesting color combos will be few. Next turbo will not be for three years.
Considering how spectacular these cars are I think you’re OK.

thanks for all the responses! I am working on the deal right now. I am not concerned about future resale value that much, just I think, for the right car, it's worth keeping than my 997S cab. I will let you all know how it turns out!

Not yet. That high dollar Toyota is holding up progress. I put a deposit down on it. Waiting for trade eval. for some reason, I am not feeling good, but if it was meant to be, I'll have it!
