Exhaust note on a 997.2TT vs 997.2TTS
Is the stock exhaust on a 997.2 TTS much different sounding than the 997.2TT or are they pretty similar meaning it also has to be upgraded to get a more exotic, more aggressive note?

I heard it when they fired it up to go from the showroom outside. I think sounds significantly better, more purposeful (loud) than the other 997 tt. I don't how the exhaust differs though.

fwiw i thought the stock .2 sounded definately better than the stock .1 if not by a lot. But lets face it any improvement is significant on that front as the .1 stock note from the inside is terrible whereas .2 is "ok"/"tolerable"
. So the improvement is tangible and, on the good side of things. Still had a minor resonance at @ 2k rpm though so the problem of fitting up an aftermarket exhaust without increasing the resonance remains

.It stands to reason that the new .2tts would have to be a touch more aggressive in the stock exhaust note over the .2tt in either mode given the differences in the power output of the engine.

.2 sound in sport mode is very nice. I checked out fabspeed sound files and talked to the guy and all the after market exhaust can do for this car is to make it a little louder. It will never sound like sport exhaust on CS engine. Winding through the gears in M produces good sounds.

After much research and giving it alot of thought I agree that the ROI in an aftermarket exhaust is negligible for the .2TT.
I am not going to spend thousands of dollars to get "a little louder" sound
Alot of money for very little return. The only one who comes out ahead is the manuf. and distributor.
As such I will probably stick with stock for now
