Keep my 997.1 TT (09) or buy TTs?

I have a 09 TT MT and I am in discussions for a TTs. Just wanted to hear some opinions to see if now is the right time or wait. Reasons for me are the increased HP, PDK versus MT and opportunity to own a P that's a bit more unique. Am I crazy for flipping after only owning this car for a year? I can get a little better deal on a cab after the owner of the dealership drives it for a month or stick with a coupe new off the floor? Thoughts?

Unless you have the funds to do so and simply cannot wait, I 'd personally wait until the redesigned TTs are out - probably not until 2013 though. If you want unique, may be blow $10k and get new wheels and other mods to hold you over for a few years.

Unless you must have a PDK, which is an excellent transmission, I would keep the 997.1 Turbo. It's the last of the true dry sump Mezger powered Turbos, that's unique in my book.

I agree totally with both SBKIM & TT GASMAN. I came close to buying a Turbo S about a month ago because I wanted a change. After thinking about it for a while I realized I was changing but spending a lot of money and not changing for the better. I am looking into a new spoiler to "spice up my life" with my Turbo.

A PDK TTs is perfect, but new generation gearbox "playstation" I dislike...
my feeling...

Inmo, A Porsche is a used car value, not new.. They simply depreciate too much, and change too often. I also think a Porsche is a sub 100K purchase at a Turbo S cost new there are simply too many other choices.

I would personally keep your 09, and do some nice modifications to it.. Also you said the TT S was unique, in all honesty maybe it is to you or I, but to the rest of the world its looks just like any other 911.

Its a little bit late....unless of course you just won the lottery . If you didnt already own a 997 1 then i guess one may think differently. Doesnt make much sense to me when you already have a perfectly good 997tt. If its a bit tired and worn then that may also be different.
