$2250 for changing break pads lol

That's the first time changing the ceramic break pads
Am very happy with the break proformance and the age they last for
But that's a big bill for break pads
And the strange part when they tell you that there's GT2 Ceramic breaks and GT2 special ceramic breaks which cost more ?!?
Is it true

Do after market or order new one's from abroad. I thnk dan could help with the pads. Double check with him

that wouldn't be a bad idea...I bought a full set of oem ceramic pads w/sensors for $600...and they aren't that difficult to change for there to be $1,600 in labor

dealers are getting out of control trying to make up for lost car sales in 'labor' revenue. Ran into a similar issue with a spark plug change recently, prices are all over the board from $800 to $1200.

Im officially done with dealers, I dont mind paying a little more and giving them my business but blatant fleecing the customer means Im taking my business elsewhere to a good independant.

I try and buy all the DIY stuff from suncoast.

So when you'll need to replace rotors you'll be better sell the car lol....bloody stealeships...

They need to steal customers to pay their expensive racing teams and motorhomes....They raised the bar here to 130$/hour.

Luckily ceramic rotors have excellent wear characteristics lol

How did they determine that you need brake pad change please? How many miles on your car and have you tracked the car at all?
My car is at 25k miles; I guess the questions are how do we know when I need to have the PCCB pads changed? And how many miles typically for a non-track car?

there is no set mileage tracked or not...varies greatly depending on driving style...you will get a sensor warning when they need replacement if just a street car (for track usually replaced when less than 50% material remaining)...take off a wheel and take a look (inside and outside of the rotor

I have been told to not let the pccb pads get more than 50%. Especially if you track the car.
