I am trying to negotiate a deal on a new Turbo S .Right now they really are not budging on 7000 of MSRP.Is this a really good deal or just average.Anyone know how many more months they will be making the car for? Thanks

how much in options does the car have? I would say 7k is a good starting point on a very lightly optioned car but if the car has tons of options I would aks for more off.

It is a very lightly optioned car...I think sticker is 166,000 ish. They want to give me 70,000 for my 2007 Turbo that is in mint shape with 24,000 miles on it.

I would hope for at least 10k-12k off sticker especially with the trade in you mention. Its a buyers market.

Personally I would drive the hell out of the 2007, shes barely broken in! In 3 years buy the 2011 S for 90k

What color? Do you have any problem getting the car shipped or traveling to pick it up. If not, you can probably do better with a car from the northeast. I know where a couple of silver/black cars are if you are interested.

I would wait. $100k extra just for the S from the 997TT is not worth it which includes the taxes, and registration.

if i were you i would sell your 07 turbo yourself- you should be able to get at least $80k without any trouble. the best deal i've heard of is 10k off a TT S.
i spoke with a salesman at porsche today who told me that the production of the 997TT and 997TTS is over. you can no longer order one. the next generation 991TT will be 2013 model year and should be out in 2 yrs.

Is that how it work? if 991 is launching next fall, does that mean it wouldn’t be in the US till Jan?

So you guys think it's a mistake paying 100,00 to move to a Turbo S.The Turbo S just seems like monster compared to my 07 turbo. Will the TurboS hold it's value more then a regular turbo. How have the past Turbo S cars held up money wise. Also why are dealers not bargaining. Please give me so common sense advice...Thanks

If dealers can't get Turbos for 2 years, no wonder they won't deal much harder on the stock they have.

I kept my 07 Turbo and I bought an 09 997S for less money than what you are ready to pay to swap. My turbo is not stock though (so i view the car as more of a long term vehicle ).

That said keep your car and save the money . A Turbo s is very nice if you didn't already have a Turbo but as long as you do have an 07 --buying the new car only compounds the expense loss and in terms of daily driving even the car you have is a wonderful car .

Who cares if the turbo takes a 2 year hiatus if he already has one ? He's not suffering .

As for the dealership's lack of bargaining --that's their problem . The savings are better off in this hesitant buyer's pocket than that car which sits on the dealership lot collecting dust unsold.
