New Stablemate!
New Stablemate!
Just picked it up today. I'm so excited. This thing is so much fun. I don't even think about getting into my 997.2tt anymore
. But for comparison, I can feel that my tt is more powerful but f430 is straight up in fun factor. The sound, looks, and the rawness. I'm so thrilled.
I want to upload pics but my pics are 2.87mb. How can i shrink them? I believe there is a size limit for uploading? thanks

My 997.2tt is definitely more powerful but f430 wins in terms of fun factor. But then again, my tt is still in break in period so I may change my mind once I let her loose

I know what you mean about the F430 being such a thrilling car. The car really is special (the sound, the body styling, the engine, the interior).
Even though the 997tt.2 is faster it does not have the same feeling about it (German vs Italian). This is why I think modding a TT is essential. That way you get a great sound (although not as nice as a Ferrari), looks improve, performance becomes even better and it becomes a personalised, italian killer of a sports car, rather than just a cold piece of amazing German engineering. No doubt the TT is incredible, but as stock it just feels a bit cold.
I know I am probably going to get killed for this post, but I do feel it to be very true.
Congrats on the car bud!

A standard 997TT or F430 for that matter does not get my heart pumping as much as a modded one does. However a little drop and some nice wheels is all that's needed in most cases. Just to get it, as you say, personalised.
I agree! I feel the same way, although I think just about every modern car out there needs some modding.. Save the uber exotics like the Carrera GT, Veyrons, Zondas etc.

after modding my 997.1tt, i agree that modding is a must. proto upgraded turbos, werks1 IC, BMC filter, proto x-pipe exhaust, new clutch with light weight fly wheel, and tune makes this car completely and totally different than stock and exciting at all times to drive. even with the $ that i spent on the car and the mods, its still less than a F430.
i have both cars as well and the turbo feels quicker for sure but nothing is like the sense of occasion you get when you unplug the battery charger for the f430 and fire up that italian v8. The turbo is my daily and the f430 is used on occasion. I would use the 430 daily if it sat more people and service was the same price as the turbo.
