Sunday morning headed out to a stretch that is good and went to make a run. Had 109 in the car and it cranked to peak at 1.7bar. Straight pipes were open on the valvetronic exhaust. 58mph and 3rd gear I punched it. go go go go and at 100mph, zingggggg. The ultimate in street clutch did not like the load. RPM went right to redline. I laugh, exit and turn going the other way on the hwy. Go go go go go go zing go go go zing.. That run it tired. ran about a 6.7 with the slipping clutch. The cars best is a 6.04 right now....

So after the holiday break, gonna make some changes Mo Power on the VR825 Kit.

1st - going to drop in the Clutch Masters Twin Plate Clutch Kit. It features dual 8.5inch disks which are larger then the competitions to give more surface area and better hold on the power. It comes with a lightweight flywheel so I hope to notice the car rev up alot quicker.

2nd - Gonna run bigger injectors so we can do a new tune. Have some 80lb injectors that will throw in there. We will be doing some datalogging and custom tuning to develop this map further from what is already used.

3rd - Going to change to a MAF less setup. Scott has this trick up his sleeve. So what is nice about the VR825 kit with the intakes in the fender, we just replace the MAF with a straight 3inch piece of tube.

So..... Stay tuned

6 seconds is the cars best run? That's with upgraded turbos and intercoolers and straight pipe exhaust?

yes the only time we have recorded and had verified was a non dedicated 60-130 at 6.04 when we did 206.2mph at the Texas Mile.

Next time you do a run, start well below 60mph, if you only start at 58mph, there's no way you will be at full boost by 60mph.

Try starting at below 50mph and you'll likely get a better time.

I keep seeing mention of running MAF'less but what is the benefit of doing so? What's the downside?

Thanks.
