Which Intercooler and headers?

I'm making some changes on my TT .. I bought GT2 turbos and it will be arriving this week. And I have installed GT3 throttle body with Werks1 plenum and Y pipe.

Now as I got the turbos, I need an intercooler. Been searching for a while but i'm so confused between FVD,cargraphic, evoms, champion etc.

Which one do I have to get to work well with my GT2 turbos ? Any advices (could be other brands too)

And the other issue is the headers. same thing goes here, FVD, AWE, champion etc.

I'm going to Miami tomorrow and will be there till first week of january. so I want to get all the parts that i need till i come back. Urgent advices needed pals.

thanks in advance

I would ask your tuner what he would recommend...It's best to stick to one brand that your tuner knows for the best power results!

While you're in Miami stop by Champion. I'm sure they have some ideas for you.

Best advice: Talk to whoever is going to support your tune because the more changes, the more support.

I've taken off almost everything I put on the car and replaced it with EvoMS stuff because they support my tune and it makes it easier when they know what they are dealing with.

Just get the best price/efficiency -ratio ones, ie. OEM 997.2 GT2 IC's. Bolt-on.
Search for few threads about these, both 996 & 997 turbo forums have one.

BTW, IMO Y-pipe, TB and exhaust manifold mods are unnecessary below 700-800 crankhp. After that you'll need engine internal mods too...
Just get the engine tuned for those new turbos ( be sure that engine gets enough fuel ) and call it a day. Some tuners will be left out of your money, but you can use yourself it for something necessary, like fuel or upgraded suspension.

Just a moment, I'll put mi flame suit on...

tuki,

Please don't take this the wrong way, but in my opinion you are doing it wrong.

You should purchase your mods around what your software programmer recommends. I often see owners buying parts furiously when they don't know if there is software support for what they bought!

If your car has software in it now, who is it? I would reach out to them and ask what they recommend for mods. Also ask if they have programming for those turbos!

We offer complete packages with GIAC software. All the guess work is taken out since we do all the testing. We know what works and what does not. We can also make recommendations if you are planning on going a slightly different direction or already have some modifications done to your car.

Again, please don't take this the wrong way...just trying to save you money and a potential headache.

If you have already done this, then that is great. Hopefully others that read this will not make the mistake.

Sounds like the OP is just looking for a good pair of ICs and headers and may already have a tuner he is working with. A guy like Todd K can remotely tune whatever you slap on the car by datalogging assuming the hardware is good. Those are some excellent mods listed and with the gt2 turbos that thing should fly with the right tune.

Really? Your first sentence says he is doing this wrong. I think it's just a different approach, not necessarily better or worse.
