Not sure about your area or circumstances but we've always found GEICO to be extremely competitive on pricing for our cars.

You will need to shop 3 or 4 of the big ones to get the best deal. We have found that the higher your credit score the lower the rates. Also if your cars are garaged is a big deal. I can tell you they charge us more for the 911TT than our Viper.

Good luck

I just got my rate back from my broker and Encompass is charging me $1700/year for my 2008 997TT in NJ. This seems ridiculously high and I have a call in to my broker to shop it.

I insure using amica.com - 37 yrs old, married, clean record. We pay $1264/yr on my 08 997tt and $965/yr on my wife's 10 Audi A4 for 100/300/100 coverage and $500 deductibles.

Could be even cheaper if we garaged them, but we are in a 100 yr old house in the historic district so I'm stuck with our long driveway and single car porte-cochere.

If changing to $1000 deductible is a possibility, it could save some on the annual premium. I don't own a Porsche yet, but I've been consulting with my independent agent on coverage in anticipation.

Insurance on my soon to arrive Turbo S is Au$5,165 pa with an Au$1500 excess based on the purchase price of Au$456,000.00. That's through Porsche Insurance.

Shopped around and was even quoted Au$12,100 by one insurance company.

Hi Mate

Fingers crossed she should be arriving into Perth any day now and I am looking forward to pick her up when I get home in 3 weeks time. It will have been a long wait and yours is even longer.

In order to get an accurate picture of the cost of insurance on a 997 TT you have to factor in: Your driving record, your deductable, your age, the value of the replacement cost of your car, how many miles you project to drive per year, do you drive the car part time or daily?, where you live, and if its the only car you insure with the company. So if I have 2 vehicles insured and the second is the turbo the cost will be much lower than if the turbo is your sole primary car.

With that in mind (I drive a truck daily) so part time usage, projected milage 8k per year, only automobile insured with company (my truck insurance is covered by another company), 1 ticket but went to traffic school, 52 years old, 300/500 with a $1000 deductable, live in San Francisco. Discounts applied: 1. Mature driver 2. Good driver insured since 1995 with same company. I have CSAA (AAA) and my annual premium is $2059.00.

$1600 for 100:300k liability with $500 deductible with 21st century for 07 TT in Los Angeles for me and my wife. Only car with this company, 5k mile allowance, good driver discount. Farmers, Geico, AAA and others were over $2k for similar specs.

I live in Temecula also and have a 2010 Turbo and a 2009 C4S. I can put you in touch with my agent if you want to see if you can get a better quote. Never hurts to try. I got pulled over speeding in Temecula in my turbo and managed to get out of it. Whew!
