I do have a V-Box I will time it and you can time yours. what do you want...0-60, 60-130, and 0-100?

Sorry for the delay guys, was at at family function all day. The turbos on the tip cars are identical to our 6 speed car. The problem is that even with a built transmission, the tiptronic is always slipping. Unless you use a locking torque converter, you will always lose a pretty significant amount of power in the trans due to that slippage.

When we did the 788 # on our 6 speed car, it was on C16 and 25psi....so slightly higher boost then we normally run. Sorry, I corrected my original post. But, on the standard pump file, the 6 speed car made 725 awhp. Basically, the tiptronic costs you about 35-40 hp at the wheels unfortunately.

That is correct.

The numbers most people are looking for is the 60-130. I'd be interested in seeing what your car does too!

Thanks Tom.....I am learning. I want to know what a built engine will handle relative to PSI/Bars and thus WHP and Torque given the drive trane (including the other upgrade we have been talking about) is built to withstand the forces of the maximum potential of the 68mm VTG.
We can talk about that Monday or feel free to give me a call/e-mail at any time.

Hopefully I will see the car tommorrow and I can put a few hundred miles on it. Please call me to arrange the "drop off" point.

I presume that was the standard pump file with standard (91-93octane) pump gas, right? Damn, that's impressive if that's the case.

edit: are you referring to the 997tt or the GT2tt here?

No, we swapped intake manifolds to the standard 997 Turbo ones. They're significantly better then the stock GT2 manifolds when you're trying to make big power.

That was 93 octane on the standard pump file...23psi, but keep in mind, that was our 6 speed 997TT car. The tiptronic cars put down less.

Thanks Tom - was it a 6speed 997tt or GT2 that produced this number?

All of the actual dyno graphs in this thread are from a GT2.

That 725awhp number I mentioned was our 997TT 6 speed car.

Sorry for the confusion....

Gentlemen, several posts were just removed form this thread. If you are a new member who joined 6speed to disrupt this thread in your first post, don't bother posting on this thread again. If you have joined to post hearsay from other tuner's, don't bother posting again. If you fact based information that you would like to share, start your own thread.

This is CMS's thread to post their build on a customer's car. If you have questions, I'm sure Tom and the car's owner will try and answer. If you simply want to disrupt this thread, find a different venue to vent.

Thanks Louis. That is quite a bit of boost to be running out of that size compressor. Considering the way the torque falls off, have you looked into running a higher flowing exhaust housing? Have you seen any repeatability issues due to heat soaked components and high EGT's?
