My 993TT vs my 997.1TT
Hi guys!
Today I ran my both P cars with a close friend, a few hours long playing with them, changing cars a lot of times. (820Nm/560Hp/1460kg measured 993 and 880Nm/650hp/1570kg measured 6spd 997)
Ok the 993 is "oldie" but gives a lot of pleasure, the boost build at once you hit the gas without Vtgs (K24, of course
), you feel the road with your fingers on the steering wheel; when racing the 993 take the first step and the 997 comes back and let it behind, but really hardly for 100hp more...
When you run the 993, it "explodes" each time you blast, the 997 is a weapon, but not as expressive...
I Vboxed the both:
-993: 100-200: 6.7'
100-300: 31.07"
-997: 6.1'
23.55"
While that I regret the granny's violence...
So, do I need bigger Vtgs? New tune? Cams?
I spent a lot of money in the both cars, why not spending a bit more to help the 997 becoming really violent, but will I need 750hp to feel big pleasure in my 997?
Cars config: -993: K24s, 1.55 cams, Blown6 cooler, empty no cat exhaust, Ofsky's custom tune 1.1Bar, ported heads with special rims
-997: FVD upgraded vtgs, headers, 200cells cat, muffler, 997.2 coolers, custom tune 1.4/1.2Bar.
the both with 1050Nm LFW Sachs clutch with organic disc.
I LOVE my 993, I LOVE my 997 too, but a little peace of madness miss me with it, give me your advices!

The 993 was dynoed from 553 to 576hp depending the AT, this is a really fast and pleasant car.
The 997 is more perfect, but with the longer gear ratios, the 100kg extra weight and perhaps the 4 valves the car is "smoother" while faster.
When I see the times here my 997 is one of the slowest upgraded VTGs fitted, I do not know how much bigger than stock my FVD's turbos are.
Are they guilty, or my tune?

(we already tried...), so he told me at 15H with his Enzo and my 997
My 993 can follow the Enzo from a 50kph rolling start and hold until 280kph.
My 997 gave me the revenge!
From a same rolling start, it takes 2 meters in 2th and more on each gear to the Enzo!!
(V-Box shows 80-150 in 3.3' and 100-200 in 6.3' on this run)
So, tonight I'm quite happy with my "slow" VTG upgraded 997.1, it is you guys here who make me feeling guilty of "turtelling"!

But if You tell me that Gene I will consider it and look forward.
What could be the Real gain with the 2 parts with my mods level? 10 crank Hp and a bit of torque? (no retune needed I think?)
Will I feel it?

the upgraded throttle body is IIRC an 83mm bore unit. The stock one is I think 75mm, which means it will roughly flow another 15% or so. It could be the last point of restriction for you, considering all your other mods. You will definitely need a retune as the MAF signal will exceed the expected table. I think you might see 30-40 hp realistically

So GT3 TBDY, IPD Ypipe and plenums? if 30Hp I'm will consider it Ok.
I made a little research since this morning, retune does not look needed. (?)
If some sponsors are here, I'm open for offers!
