Those ZL1 are suppose to be quite quick not to mention will blow sound at LS with its stock exhaust! EBWerks will have to get to work on that ASAP as GMWerks!

Beautiful thing about GM ceramics, they are the same version/make that Bentley and Ferrari use and are only $1200 a set!

^^^ Hey Alex, Thanks! You played a role in making this happen as well. With the re-programming and deletion of the adjustable "Sport" suspension, my car actually never shut down/off on Saturday as it typically does when plunging down the Cork Screw or when getting light over the hill/T1.

Now just need to get rid of the understeer issues and I should be golden for a while.

Sharky is always there to lend a hand in time and need!

That was a great lap D! As said above if you get a bit of that push dialed out thigh will be set. Your corkscrew was fast- I can see some places I lose time in comparison to these laps.

F1 I'd love to get up to THill again, but my April and early May are locked out- having babyboy then out on business in the UK.

Yes I have the new GT2RS ICs plus all new hose/clips/orings. Let's coordinate an upgrade day later in May do I can keep my power. My new brakes (PFC01, Sotted rotors, fluid) were incredible for the event and didn't have to worry about slamming into anyone at the bottom of T2. Amazing what good hardware can do for your confidence.

Did have a scary moment earlier in the day and a point we all need to remember. I came off the track because I heard a strange noise- thought I had a broken suspension part. Turned out the lugnuts backed out of the driver rear wheel and create a nasty wobble. Jacked it up and tightened her down. Then checked all the others (also loose!). So lock these down EVERY time out!!

The best part is, GM say's they will warranty claims even if you track it Doesn't get much better then that

I wont be abusing ( I never abuse my cars as is!) it but I will be driving it hard.

I’m going off based on the GPS speed Henry’s lap timer says. We got identical lap times, to one I have posted on youtube. I will see what other laptimes I have when I get home.
Anyways based on the analyst on the turns and straight the gps thing says, I was able to digest some interesting data. I was having issues getting on the throttle harder as my rear was not stable. This was corrected after TCD discovered my alignment was off. That said, I will have to go back to LS to get a more accurate analyst. Thus far, I can conclude that you rock Sector 1 at LS, and Sector 2, and 3 we are very close. You enter turns faster, but given for the 250 hp deficit I have on you, I can get close in to matching your straight away speed. This probably has to do with different driving styles we have. I also perhaps brake later to close in the gap. I think the optimal lap time for me would be to avg out my data and your data, and I can probably find 2 seconds. So what I’m learning here is, take turn 2 different then what I currently am. Don’t brake as a late, I can carry more speed, but I MAY not have the straight away 10mph gap I do on you. I think what is getting me close to you is the fact that I go in slower but come out faster ( not fast enough to match your speed hp difference). Turn 3, you enter faster than I do by 5 miles an hour but on the straight you only gain 2 mph. That means I’m getting on the throttle sooner. Turn 4, same, but with the hp diffrence’s you are gaining 20 mph on me ! ( I find this hard to believe as I have to go into 4<sup>th</sup> gear in my car but for the sake of the data lets continue) Turn 6, we take it at the same speed, and I achieve the same straight line speed as you do 103. Going into turn 7, you take it faster than I do, but I archive almost identical straight line speed as you do up the corkscrew. I take the corkscrew, 16mph faster than you, but the net difference on that small straight away you gain 6mph. You take turn 9 faster by 9mph, but I make it up with only 2 mph deficient on the straight, and the last bend I take it 3 mph faster than you but I end up losing in straight away.
The lap times are identical. You need to solve your understeer issue, and I need to solve my oversteer issue ( which I have after my last alignment) and put on my new front splitter. I suspect with my ebwerks exhaust on, the straight away gap will close, and we will see the net gain with TCD correcting my alignment. That said, I suspect the optimal lap time is between avg of your speeds and mine, I bet WE can gain at least 2.5 seconds. I need to sacrifice getting on the throttle early, to get turn speed, you need to sacrifice bend speed to gain straight away speed.

E: if you listen to my engine/throttle, there are several areas where I'm feathering and lifting due to position/gap on the 430 hoping to find a place to overtake. Also, in one of the videos (on YouTube, not here) I hit 127 at T1 and still was not flat out due to traffic and the 430 right in front of me. As for T2, that is not my normal line. I typically set-up wide as well. However, the inside was my only option running that close with the 430. Plus, it seemed like I had an advantage there and might be able to overtake if he had a small bobble. T9, every lap I tried a different line. This is where I was doing a lot of feathering and even lifting. T11 I typically set-up wide there as well. If the 430 would have missed his breaking point I would have been right there to take advantage of my inside position.

As for shaving off time...I'm now just scratching the surface here...my goals are different and I seek 0.5 second steps...not 2.5-3.3... increments. Speed comes with time.

If you gradually apply your throttle out of the turns, this may help your oversteer and actually increase your straight line speed because you are hooking-up and powering out instead of spinning the wheels and sliding about.

Ultimately, I do agree, shaving off 2.0+/- is something that can be accomplished in time.

Also, in one of the videos (on YouTube, not here) I hit 127 at T1 and still was not flat out due to traffic and the 430 right in front of me. As for T2, that is not my normal line. I typically set-up wide as well. However, the inside was my only option running that close with the 430. Plus, it seemed like I had an advantage there and might be able to overtake if he had a small bobble. T9, every lap I tried a different line. This is where I was doing a lot of feathering and even lifting. T11 I typically set-up wide there as well. If the 430 would have missed his breaking point I would have been right there to take advantage of my inside position.

As for shaving off time...I'm now just scratching the surface here...my goals are different and I seek 0.5 second steps...not 2.5-3.3... increments. Speed comes with time.

If you gradually apply your throttle out of the turns, this may help your oversteer and actually increase your straight line speed because you are hooking-up and powering out instead of spinning the wheels and sliding about.

Ultimately, I do agree, shaving off 2.0+/- is something that can be accomplished in time.

Yup I saw, I took the speed out of the last vid your posted where the F430 was not in front of you. While I agree .5 second increments in perfecting different sections is the best way of approaching but I'm just looking at over all.

My issue with the back end coming out was not due to throttle, It was due to taking corner speed any faster then I was, it would go into crazy oversteer, so i had to improvise. My alignment was really jacked up. Toe should have been at 1/16 for front and rear. That said, my point is, our cars are easy capable of 1:34's .. I'm def going to take some pointers that I have learned on your video from your driving and try it myself.

For all you RE-11 fans and converts, I forgot to mention, because of the inclement weather I did my qualifying session on the RE's and laid down a 1:40.9 with a GIAC 91 tune. Think I could have broke into the 1:39's if it were not for Etchhead blocking me!

Just teasing,

EH did a fantastic job in traffic and managing those coming through the field. Quite honestly I didn't even remember passing him until he posted his video. If only all drivers could be so kind.
