online insurance quote?

anyone know which insurance companies provide online insurance quotes for 997 turbos? I currently have Geico but they dont list 911 turbo nor 911 turbo cabriolet as models under the Porsche make. Looking to insure my newly acquired 2008 turbo cab! I m coming from the Boxster/Cayman board

When you enter the VIN the online services know what vehicle you want to insure - try that. I hope you already have some insurance since you say newly acquired.

I had Geico. I recently switched to Nationwide. They offered me better rates and I've heard their service was better as well.

I know with farmers they will let you have a 5k deductible, that really help keeps the rate down

We did geico on line to figure the difference between our then current cayman and a new 911tt. Had to go the VIN route to get it. A call to geico support will also get it for you and they will even show you how to do it online if you like.

Geico isn't the most porshe friendly company I don't think, wifes 911tt is double our 06 Viper exact same coverage.

I recently switched from State Farm to Allstate and am saving 0ver $1,000 per year on 4 cars. The most important part was they will authorize genuine factory parts.

thanks for the tips. sounds like i need to shop insurance again and can save some serious $$$ by switching from geico since i am insuring three porsches on a porsche unfriendly insurer. the tip on plugging in the vin for geico worked. Looks like they classify it as a 911 cab.
