Taking delivery of Turbo S tomorrow!!!

Super excited for taking delivery of a slightly used (350 miles) Turbo S tomorrow. I doubt I'll get any sleep tonight. MSRP'd for $173K, paying $163K for it.

GT Silver (like my old 997 TT) with key options being, adaptive sport seats, carbon package, turbo II wheels, and clear tail lights.

I'll take pics and post tomorrow.

Should I keep her stock? What are people doing to their Turbo S?

Congratulations!

If you don't like the stock sound (combination of sewing machine and vacuum cleaner), get an aftermarket exhaust. If you don't like rock chips, get a clear bra for the front.

Have fun!

Congrats and well... I would keep it stock at least for a while. Just drive it first and see what you like and dislike. Get a feel for it and maybe you'll dig it just the way she is (they've very fast out of the box and the hole so to speak) or maybe you'll want to play with some areas etc...

Need one of those pictures of Susan Powter exclaiming,"STOP THE INSANITY". Do 99% of us ever need more than 530 BHP? Don't get me wrong I'm still like Tim Taylor when I "need more power".

Seriously when the technology can afford 0 - 60 times of 2.6 seconds do you need more power? Especially when the next closest performing car cost over $1 million and had about double the horse power!

I have to concur with the above stating that you should drive the car until you make your own decision as to what you like/dislike about the car.

For atleast 2 weeks just drive it and enjoy it. I am sure the power will keep you sustained for a bit.

I started getting bored of my car about 6 months then i did a tune/exhaust/sway bars/droplinks and the driving dynamics of the car changed drastically. Still not bored of it almost a year later(well slightly bored of the power, hence the new mods coming lol)

Congrads.
I just pick mine up tonight.
I traded my 11 GT3 in it was killing my back!
Words of advice.. my car with 6 miles on it is making a grinding noise between 3rd & 4th gears on both the up and down shifts. Take a test ride and listen.

I have a few hundred miles on my Turbo S and the car is an absoloute beast. Once you get a few hundred miles on it, push the sport button. No Mods necessary. This car is fast and handles so well I can't see killing the warranty. I will be stock for a while. The car is insane!!! Power-Performance and looks. The sports car trifecta!

I know what you mean!! Congrats.

Myself coming from an 06 Carrera 4S.... the power and acceleration on the Turbo S is simply mind numbingly amazing.

I'm at 1600 miles on mine and have started to really step on it and WoW!!!!

Enjoy!!!

Power and performance wise the car is a winner right out of the box.

Sound wise.....not so much

Good bet you'll want the sound to match the power very soon.

Congrats on your new arrival. Run it stock for a while and see what you think. It's got heaps of grunt out of the box and that may be enough for you. Good luck which ever way you go.

I'd be asking why it's resold at 300-some miles and how it was driven and by whom for that duration. I put 300 miles on my "S" the first day I had it last July and by November, I had 11,000 miles on it, three track events and had destroyed the rear brakes (at 7,000) miles. My best advice is don't use SPORT PLUS for any regular road use...for thousands of miles- unless you're a genius driver. Respect the break in period of 2000 miles. The factory isn't advising that for no reason. I'm off to Laguna Seca Tuesday- from Wyoming- in mine for a Ferrari Clienti event, then down the 101 to LA to sell a book for motion picture. The 911 Turbo S is a dream. Videos on Youtube "Wyo550"
