Pre Purchase help requested

Looking at an 08 Turbo Cab with 10K miles. Car is very clean. Its a tiptronic

vin# WP0CD29918S788785

Can anybody run a history on this car for me and provide any details?(warranty work, options listing etc)

Also, given that its a tiptronic should i be at all worried about over-revving as, correct me if I am wrong, but the tiptronic prevents over-revving, correct? (Still planning on doing a pre-inspection and DME scan)

Also, any other pre-buying advice you have is welcomed.

Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

thanks. as i said i am still getting a DME.

interesting, because a Porsche tech told me that the tiptronic will prevent any over-revving. he told me the trans will auto shift up and wont allow a down shift it if would cause an over-rev.

I was told that a PDK cannot be over reved. Not sure about a trip car.

I think you have them reversed. My panamera has a pdk and you can over-rev it. It has no rev limiter.

Sobrut911 is infamous around these parts
According to turbo owner manual page 177, you cannot over rev engine upshifting or down shifting with pdk because the " controller"won't allow it.

I'm sure the ECU still has a rev limiter, even with the pdk. Can't believe porsche would do that in this car.
