Here's a thread from Dan @ Vivid showing install pics for my 997 turbo with the clutchmaster's fiber tough clutch. My car feels so much better to drive, current configuration > 750hp & no slip of clutch. Feel much more comfortable driving the car in city traffic than I ever did before.

Dont do what I did... I went with a Fidanza 12.5lbs aluminum flywheel and a Spec Stage 3+ clutch with an unsprung disk. It is very grabby and because neither the flywheel or the Clutch is sprung the engagement is pretty harsh. I figured this combo would have been the lighter option.I definitely recommend the Spec clutch but go with a sprung disk!
On the other hand, I went with the Fidanza flywheel thinking I'd save some $ but the ring gear was not cut down to the right size which meant I got charged for an additional 8 hours of labor and lost a week in the process. They couldn't figure out why the trans wouldn't mate with the engine. I had to take a look and figure it out myself. After a few calls to Fidanza to get the specs they admitted the ring gear was not cut to the correct size. They wanted me to send them the flywheel so they would cut down the ring gear (to what it should have been cut to in the first place) and send it back to me which would have taken another week or more probably. I took it to a local machine shop and had it done. I really recommend to everyone to get their flywheel and clutch balanced before installing it in the car just to make sure. You don't want to pay for the install or do the work twice yourself. If the rotating clutch, flywheel is not balanced it can really create bad vibrations. I would also recommend to measure\mic the parts to make sure they are the right size; especially with a Fidanza!
Who else has good experience with Spec Clutches?

There were several folks on this thread that were looking to upgrade their clutches about a year ago. Just trying to see what direction you all ended up taking and if you could please provide your long term impressions of your setup.

Pureporsche - I see you went with the AWE 2.5. Did you ever end up replacing your flywheel or did you just resurface your existing FW?
