Anyone have this issue?

My car was stalling out. No lights on or anything, but it was low on gas (said 47 miles till empty). I just drove it pretty good, then this all was happening. I put in 5 gallons of gas and the gauge didn't register it. Drove to the gas station and filled it up and the gauge showed just over 1/2 full and over ten minutes went to full. It's under warranty so it's going in regaurdless, but just wanted to get a feel.

Not the stalling but the gas gauge thing happened to me once. Only gas station I could find was an AM/PM so I only put a few gallons in until I could find a Chevron or something better and the gauge did not register anything. Finally filled it up and the gauge wouldn't go above half for at least 10 minutes. The problem fixed itself and has never happened again.

My guess would be that you've picked up bunch of crap from the bottom of your gas tank when it went that low. The fuel filter could be partially clogged causing the stall condition . . .

The fuel gauge not registering is a well known issue when you fill a bit of gas from almost empty. You need to fill past the halfway point for it to properly register. It will right itself out once you do fill it up though.
Just one of our P car quirks and nothing alarming.

Yup happend to me on the gt3.. Filled up 5 gallons when it was 30 miles to go because I was in a hurry and my gas gauge didn't move. Lmao I went back to the station and accused them of stealing and made a scene lol. Found out that you have to fill up more than half a tank for the gauge to reset. Not a biggy.. Nothing to worry about
