Tuning the 997.1TT Tip to beat the 997.2TTS PDK

What modifications does the 997.1 Turbo Tiptronic need to keep up with a stock 997.2 Turbo S in a 1/4 mile race, beat it in a 1 mile race and kill it in a rolling start 1 mile and 5 miles races?

Does it take alot of power to beat the 530hp of the PDK?

Will be tough, the pdk is unbeatable in sport plus mode and the car probably makes more like 560hp based on dyno tests done on this board.

I think you would need about 640hp - 650hp to be on par acceleration wise. 700 to pull on one but probably only at 100mph+ speeds. Purely my guesstimate, the PDK is no joke.

There are vendors on here that have built tip vehicles that will achieve what your asking about. You can contact them for the details on costs and what's involved.

As far as quarter mile races - yes, the S w/PDK is awesome and is very fast and so are tips w/only exhaust and a tune.

You'll find some on here that have achieved high 10's in the qtr with only exhaust and tune. That's right in line with what some that have posted with the S PDK. Given how rare it is to perform top speed runs, mile runs, etc...you'll likely be very happy with those mods to begin with.

what are the similarites and differences...and honestly if choice of one which and why?

My car is a tip and has APR tune and exhaust...it did verified 6,48 60-130 and ALWAYS 10,8 to 10,9 at 0-400m (1/4 mile...) with a best of 10,68sec.I wonder what are the times for a turboS...I bet it it slower...

I suppose you mean the flash DME uses to run the car...Its an APR flash...with stage 1 and 2 that gives you 100hp alone,as tested from one of our sponsors here...

did you moved limitation in your ecu? like egt,knocking etc?

Peak boost i ve seen is 1,55bar...I havent vboxed a 200-300run but kostas (madsex343) with manual997tt and APR tune and europipe exhaust did 14,5sec...he also did 100-200 at5,5 sec so there is no way a turbo s can pass or follow...

Well peak boost I see is also 20 psi you can see on the video, but it holds 17.5 psi. what is your boost it holds?
