I am doing the inevitable

Against the recommendation of some members I am slightly upgrading my 997.2.

Adding:

1. CMS Intercoolers
2. Adding the Europipes (Loved that deep grunt)
3. GIAC Flash

Keeping it at a "safe" 540-550 WHP and 70+ FT# of torque.

Spoke with CMS and after they had beat the crud out of their test bed for 5K miles with no problems I decied what is the worst that could happen . Looking forward to those consistant 2.6 second 0-60 runs.

Your car will be an animal! Can't go wrong, since they will warranty everything anyways!

Glad you are doing it. There's too much negativity from others on the .2 PDK
Champion will take great care of you. Please make some vids of that Europipe!

I will for sure. I have complete confidence I am in good hands. CMS is not going to put my car in harms way. BTW: I am the 5th car they have done besides their "testbed". One of the cars is raced several times per month w/o problems. I am not going to race it but rather enjoy seeing the headlights in my rearview mirror on the on ramps. The GT2, well, thats a different story. I will keep a running log of how the car behaves and if problems arise. It would be foolish to beleive that Porsche AG did not build in a safety factor - I am just using some of it up.

Cant sleep tonight, flying out to Scottsdale and then to SFO for some fun with the wife this week. Will catch up on the flight and then when I get back - my car will be delivered on my Bday. The GT2 will be assembled by then (hopefully) and the break-in period will begin.

Congrats in advance. You're pretty safe with those mods. Your PDK will take it no problem. Mine did. It's moving beyond that that is currently the problem.
I'm sure someone like CMS will get it all worked out soon enough. In the meantime enjoy the beast that your car will become .
