eVins in 997.2 TTS cab?

Hey guys I am about to purchase an 04 cab from a private seller in my area, it is priced below book value and is in prestine condition cosmetically and mechanically, before I go ahead and purchase I would like to visually confirm that all the vins on the car match the one listed on the title, can you guys help me locate the vins. Thanks!

Looks like there is one more in the luggage compartment under the battery cover.

What do you mean by "book value"?

Unfortunately KBB is usually not a good indicator of market. Results of the Manheim auctions are your best indicator. Sounds though as if you've found the right car and the price is OK - just don't get excited that it's below "book value". That resaoning may justify the purchase to your wife though. Congratulations!!

Call me naive, but on a car that is relatively brand new wouldn't there be other tell tale signs of it being rebuilt as opposed to mis matched vin numbers?

I wonder if you are suspecting this may be the case from your visual inspection.

Are you doing a PPI? Shouldn't a good inspection pick up on something?

I may learn something from your experience. Good luck.

Forget tracking down the VIN's and pay $200 or so for a professional inspection of the entire car including the underside, DME, etc..... certainly worth it for a purchase of this magnitude.

I cannot find any one willing to go where the car is located , it is in Camden NJ. the car seems mechanically fine , i just want a piece of mind, i want to make sure all the parts where purchased from the dealer or a reputable legal source, i wouldnt want to drive around with parts from a stolen car , so if all the vins are equal im in the clear.

It's your show, do what you want but if it were me I would not purchase a car without someone going over it. Princeton Porsche or Porsche of the Main Line are not that far. Ask the seller to meet you at one of these dealerships and get the car inspected properly.

PS - I don't even really understand what you are worried about re: the VIN. I read your prior experience with the Truck but do you really think this car has been chopped and put back together and you would be driving around with stolen parts? I guess anything is possible.
