Thinking of coming back...

I traded my 2007 turbo 6 speed on a 2006 F430 F1 Spider. After enjoying the Spider for almost a year, I am thinking of trading it for a turbo S cab with PDK.

Ferrari is awesome in almost every way. The Porsche has 4 seats so I can take the kids in it. I have never had a 911 cab.

Warranty on the Ferrari is expiring in a few months

Seats aren't the only reason but a definite need. I would take it out more if I could take the family. I tend to last only a year with cars until I want something else. I should just give up this car thing Hypnosis maybe?

Go for it. I just sold my 458 Ferrari on Monday. We have the '11 Turbo S and found the 458 dictating where we can go and where we can't. Parking availability etc. We just were not enjoying it enough to justify the money.

You know that is 100% true. You really have to think out where to go and plan ahead. Kind of annoying but it definitely is a great ride.

Do you have a cab or a coupe? I am wondering about how the cab drives vs the coupe.

We have a cab but I traded in an '08 997 Turbo coupe on the 458 so for a while we had both. I didn't notice any difference between the two other than the cab being a slight bit noisier which would be expected. I don't track the car so I am talking normal highway/street driving.

Ahh, I do not feel alone anymore. Rear seats are a big reason I do not have a 2 seater as my DD. Because I can fit the family (w+2k) I get to drive it more often.

I was just at Reeves and they had 2 '12 Turbo S Cab's SOLD. Surprisingly both were PDK's. Very nice "Family Car".

The Turbo S is an awesome car to have as a DD. I have put my 4 and 7 yr old in the back seat without a problem. My wife rides in the car (as a passenger) and has said that she is very surprised how comfortable the car really is. I owned an M5 BMW and she hated how the car shifted so hard. No complaints so far.

Not really surprising since they only build the Turbo S with the PDK - No manual.

I have an 11 Turbo S Cab and I love it. The bluetooth works great with the top up. With the top down it is OK at slow speeds, forget about it on the parkway.

Love the car, it is a beast.

I did not realize they made the Turbo S for 11 and 12. Thought in past it was a single year production model for last year that gen was built. What differences between the two cars exist? HP/TQ same?

Yes correct the S will have more hp/tq and come standard with ceramic brakes. I had a 05 vert that was an S and the last year for the 996tt gen which is why confused that 11/12 models are out in S's. No complaints though, will get back in a S coupe with PDK sometime in future. Nice cars.
