Exhaust tip options....
Exhaust tip options....
Need to replace the tips, Im just tired of them. Am I missing any here? Just cant make up my mind, none of them scream 'buy me' but I fear these are the only major options.
Techart
Fabspeed
AWE
Cargraphic (unobtanium it seems)
eBay ones
Maxspeed (they also look like the Fabspeed??)
Agency Power
Are Fabspeed and Awe same ones? Awe states for their muffler only but if the OEM ones fit their exhaust you think it would fit others as well reversed?
I am leaning towards either the Fabspeed black chrome or polished Techart.

To best of my knowledge, from a couple of years ago when I was looking into this:
1. Fabspeed and EVOMS are the same, with Fabspeed cheaper. Note the finish is not chrome, but stainless steel, which I prefer over the more shinny chrome.
2. Fabspeed and AWE are not the same; each company manufactures its own tip. Physically AWE tip sticks out more.
3. Cargraphic: "Why don't you have a seat before I tell you how much." Grin.
I have the Fabspeed for 2-3 years now without any problem. It comes with a C shaped ring inside the collar - makes sure installer uses this C ring so the thing doesn't come off (?).

Specific to fabspeed's black chrome version only, I've heard it doesn't age well. The black chrome starts to come off.

yes, it does not age well at all - would not recommend. I have the fabspeed black chrome tips on my 2008 997tt. At approx 20k miles of use it started coming off and they look like crap. I should have done the black ceramic and probably will have them done.
Thanks for the Feedback guys, I'm glad you like the tips and the cars look great. I have them available in Chrome and Black Chrome, and if anyone is interested, I will make a nice member deal on a set. PM me for more information.
The Black chrome has worked out very nicely but depending on the exhaust application you are running on the car, it can fade after time due to heat or other things, and many times its because they need to be wiped down after installation to get the outside coat clean of any chemicals or oils.
Thanks,

My black chrome tips did not fade, the black chrome just comes off. They are matched to my fabspeed exhaust and were cleaned and polished regularly, it simply does not hold up.

I agree, your Fabspeed tips look great. Too bad these rusty muffler cans ruin everything. What brand are they?
