I too like the gloss black look over the matte finish.

Matte. For some reason never liked gloss black wheels

It could depend on the car color, but I'm leaning towards the gloss. My car is the atlas grey, and I went with a brushed finish

What about two-tone coloring? Saw pics in another recent HRE post. Looked great.

matte, cause it gives a nice race-like contrast and they give a shi t about the brake dust!

Matt black. I like the contrast too.

Gloss because they turn matte quickly from brake dust anyway. Kinda get the best of both.

Matte, your paint is glossy already, you don't need the wheels to match, plus brake dust don't show on matte.

Matte looks like your wheels are always dirty, beat up and cheap. Go with glossy

After having silver wheels (M3 OEM, current M3 SSR, OEM 911) I am very happy with my recently powder coated matte black OEM wheels.

They disguise brake dust very well. Since my car is a DD and not a garage queen this is quite nice, I don't feel like I have to clean my wheels every week to keep them looking decent.

If your car is just a weekender (terrible choice buying the TT for that imo, car is made to be a DD) I guess having a brighter finish or color would be nicer.

The above post about gloss looking matte when they get dirty makes sense too but I guess it depends just how glossy the finish is and whether or not brake dust is going to make it look bad.

For us, the Matte Blacks have definitely been the trend largely in part because you can see the detail of the wheel. The Gloss Black is highly reflective and you sometimes loos a little bit of the detail. I would say it depends on whether you want people to look at the wheels, or the overall impression of the car.

If you would like some more photos of both, email me at guya@hrewheels.com

Hard to argue with catchmyshadow, matte all the way.

You might want to consider any future carbon fiber additions to the body. Matte wheels would look killer with matte carbon fiber hood, mirrors, and rear fender intake surround.
