You can tape off the edges and use a mild polish - meguiar's 205 (an example) with an orbital and see if it polishes out...just a thought.

I'm pretty sure Suncoast has those for sale, pre-cut + OEM.

Its Very Easy

I replaced mine on my 2008 TT. I watched a bunch of youtube videos on removal and installation of clear bra's. You will see how simple it is.

I bought the precut film. Took less than 30 minutes for the entire job and it looked perfect.

No paint came off when I did mine. Maybe if you had your car painted by Earl Scheib you might worry. Just peel the old ones off. Porsche uses electrostatic paint, so you do not have to worry.

I replaced mine because the film started to yellow, and I had a white car.

Looked so much better.

I'll search youtube later, but do you just grab and pull? No need to apply heat?

Heating it may make it easier to remove and leave less goo. Be careful with a heat gun though - it can damage the paint.

Make sure you buy some goo remover - the guys on the detailing forum will have some suggestions.

I remember seeing my installer guy with what looks like a hair dryer? It's actually a heat gun and not a hair dryer? Thanks - I have no youtube at work.

I've seen a so-called professional do it and he took the paint right off with the film.
The only time that will happen is if the film was applied to fresh paint. Its very rare and shouldnt happen from the factory. Just apply a little heat and pull. Should come off. And dont waste your time polishing the film. Grease gets down into the film... its not just on the surface so it wont come off. If you cant find any replacements let me know. I cut my own film and can get you some.
