Question Somewhat trustworthy dealers in NY/LI???

After speaking to a couple of service individuals from different dealers over the phone, I found myself in Need to know who I should stay away from when bringing my car in..Mod friendly a plus! Car Is stock but maybe not for long. Have been on 6 speed only a month or so and have already gathered tons of info about these cars. Any help is appreciated.

Manhattan Motor Cars ask for Mark or William (Bill) from the Service department, tell him Ron sent you, there are very trustworthy and you have to complete a survey every time your car goes in for service, so even if you have doubt's, they always make sure you leave there giving them a perfect 100 across the board, now as far as Sales, I wouldn't let my dog Rocky go in there to buy a car....

I started reading this post and then got to the bottom and was relieved you were only referring to the service department. My sales experience sounds very similar to yours.

Never used MMC service but it sounds like a decent option if needed when in the city.

Bring it to us! If you need dealer work performed, we have a GREAT relationship with Porsche of Southampton.

Ha ha yeah they have some issues on the sales side. I still bought my last 2 cars from them though as I like to deal with Bryan one of their salesman who is a really good and honest guy. I serviced my Porsche there and Lenka always did a great job. They are a bit pricey but always fixed any issue my car had and fairly quickly too.

Yes, we must have definitely shared the same experience, but Service did recommend me to a guy name John and he was nice, but by then my business went somewhere else already and my soon 991 C4S order will stay with Jack Daniel's Porsche once available for production. This is a perfect meaning of once a sale is lost its lost forever....

Still remain solid on the service department upstairs though, a great team of guys....

I drive past 4 dealers to go to Pepe Porsche. Excellent service dept. Hands down, and I have dealt with most in the tri state area. You will be very pleased. It is a small family style dealership and the same holds true for the service dept. Ask for Ryan. He's the man!!!

If Parsippany, NJ isn't to far - go see Aaron to book your appointment, and request Marty be the wrench. There is not a more knowledgeable mechanic in the tri-state area than Marty.

However, this is AS LONG AS IT'S STOCK!!!

Once you start mod's ... stick with that wrench for services.

And whatever you do ... do NOT take it to Ray Catena. Their Turbo mechanic should be in Lawnmower repair.

Sounds good! I believe they all should do this and more for the customers, specially with the kind of economy. Most act as if the next dealer is 400 miles away. Might consider....

Any one have any experience with Roslyn or South Shore. Very skeptical about this. Whoever it is i chose i will come back here with some feedback.

I guess I'm not alone. I tried to lease a C4S through them when I was in Boston but the deal did not go through. They would not return my deposit, which was supposed to be first month of lease payment. I disputed it through AMEX to get it back.

Porsche Huntington has the #1 service tech in the country. Ther are owned by Manhattan motorcars.
Mod friendly ?? i'd also like a good solid answer on that.
Picking up my car in Huntington tomorrow, i'll ask service writer about mods.

I bought my 2 P car in Town Porsche in Englewood NJ. I hae them do the Mods for me too. about 10 mins from G Washington bridge. great service, great people.

ASk for Bill who is the head of service and very knowledgable.

I guess most of the Porsche dealer and their service are going to be great, it is just a matter of which one is more convenience to you.

Town Porsche will come to my home to pick up the car for service or anything else and bring it back.

DL

Porsche Roslyn, in my experience, has provided excellent warranty service. The service manager is Lana, the asst. mgr. is Luciano and they have a new guy Matthew who is also very responsive (to any issues). Can't tell you whether they'd be mod friendly as my baby is stock. If your not in a warranty then the mods won't matter to them. To me the important part is that they care about you and your problems. Well, at least that has been my experience with them on my 07TT over the last 4 1/2 years. If Porsche Roslyn is convenient for you and you have a warranty issue I would trust them to do the right thing. My 2 cents.

Can't say the same for my last dealer where I got my 03X50TT - Legend in Amityville - they had good lease prices, but truly miserable and arguably incompetent service. It got so bad, that twice, while leaving their building, I got stuck b/c they forgot to bleed my clutch line. Granted, my 03 car went back to Porsche in January 07 and things may have changed ...... or maybe not. I'd see if anybody has had a more recent experience with them if they are local to you.

Heard about Lana, will give them a shot and see. They are only a few miles away from me.

Car is completely stock, i just wonder about a possible mod friendly location in case i decide to tune and open up the exhaust a bit.
