Lost all control of drivers seat?

Got in the car today to visit my girlfriend at work and all the drivers seat controls did not work. Checked connection under seat and everything looked well there. Any ideas?

Thanks, otoppero

Yeah, did that even before checking the seat plugs. I switched the suspect fuse today to the spare in the fuse box and still nothing. Off to the dealer I guess....

Looks like a dealer (Roger Jobs) fix for sure. No results from tinkering with anything. Difficult to get under seat with where it is positioned to check every connection. P.S. Peter Drake at Rodger Jobs has been a very nice Porsche Service Rep. to deal with so far in my limited interactions with him.

Hi

This has happened to me also, disconnect the plug to the electronic control unit under the seat then plug it back in. This should reset it.

I Hope this works

Gavin

Location? If I know where to reach it should help. I have a fire extinguisher mounted to the front of the seat so access is difficult. I obviously cant move the seat for easy access. Being 6'1" the seat is stuck in a very low position. I thank you for your input.

Cheers, Chris

Hi Chris

The unit is underneath towards the front of the seat, the plug also pulls out towards the front. I think you will find it very difficult to reach with the fire extinguisher in position. Can you move it ?

Gavin

Thanks Gavin

Gavin I want to thank you for the personal help. I removed the fire extinguisher gained access to the plug that was not visible before. I must have been checking the seat belt or airbag cables down there the first time. Unplugged it then plugged it back in and then everything was back to normal. I don't know how to ask if someone can get a knowledge (rep point) but please throw one Gavin's way.
