.... what do you guys really think of this interior?

There is about $9k worth Makassar (dark/matte finish). I thought it looked alright, esp with the sand/beige, but I know you Porschophiles have strong opinions. I didn't buy the car and will not be offended

Get dirty too fast! I have interior like this in my Escalade and the dye from dark colored pants rub off on the seats.

I regret it!

I have the sand-beige interior for mine and it still looks like new. You have to be careful, wash your hands, keep it clean etc. But in my opinion, the best looking color combo on a 911 Turbo is black with that interior, or white with a black interior. You guys can all keep that god-awful Red and Teracotta!!

I would probably have seat covers anyway and I live in TX where the sand-beige may help with heat. I'm really looking for opinions on the Makassar

I'm wondering about the wood? There's like $9k of it in this rig. Is the 997tt a GT car or a hard-core sports car. Wood belongs in one, not the other...

Not my cup of tea, but it only matters how you feel. If you can honeslty say that you love it and you will be happy with it then go for it!

Personally I don't care for wood in a Turbo. I think of wood as luxurious and a Turbo as Hi-Tech/mean. Wood is fine for non Turbo/GT versions. That being said, it is a very god looking interior. Just doesn't fit the car to me.

Why don't you look at "Michael_S" car that's for sale... CPO, Slate grey, 6 speed, PCCBm i mean loaded and for a very price of mid 80's.

Saving few $$$$ and compromising in what you want never works.

The reflection of the hot Texas sun from the beige dash will drive you crazy.

Thanks for the opinions guys. I like the car both ways (with or without the wood), so wanted to get a more public/enthusiast opinion. If I were to get one with the wood and wound up not liking it, I'm sure the pieces could be swapped out for a reasonable cost to black (or some other color). I agree, it makes the car feel more like a grand tourer (Like maserati) and less like a hard sports car and not really sure how I feel about that. To be truthful, I really like the Grand Turismo but long for the performance of the 911. Maybe this car is for me... just won't be able to sell it down the road

I personally like black interiors, but this one looks quite good (except the steering wheel - I think that should be one color or the other). At the end of the day your opinion is what counts. Good luck.

Personally I love the look. I think it makes the car look very luxurious. A good contrast to the sporty exterior. Makes you feel very warm, like you're sitting at home, comfy on your couch.

Cons:
Gets dirty - my old BMW had this color interior and you must take care of it and take leather cleaner to it. After a while of not cleaning it, it's very difficult to keep it clean. And like the other poster above mentioned, certain clothes will rub off on it.
It's also difficult to get a "custom" interior. Any stitching, alcantara, off-color OEM gauges/belts/etc will not work with this car if that's your thing.
