Test drive all three and then decide. My biased vote is turbo S, unless you want a 3rd pedal.

Drive them and then decide...somebody mentioned it will drive like a go-kart...my interpretation of that is harsh ride on the streets and both GTs will do that...I love the limited production numbers of the GT2 but the best all around driver will be the Turbo S...I'd love to know their production numbers...also it does have a back seat...almost useless but if you have small kids...or just like the larger cabin it gives then that's a plus...I also like paddle shifters...so the Turbo S with PDK is tempting...you have a tough job buddy...which super model do you want to take home?

I would really love to buy the gt2 rs, but it is way out of my price range. I will be going to the track 2 to 3 times a year at the most. I love horsepower on cars but i am not hp freak, the car has to have the perfect balance of power, handling, braking and civility on public roads. This car will be a weekend only car and will not be a daily driver.

Thank you
I honestly don't see how anything other than a Turbo fits the 'love' of horsepower and the BALANCE of everything else you mention. I'm surprised of the number of GT suggestions. I just came out of a 2011 GT3 to return to a 2012 Turbo for EVERYTHING (to include the civility aspect you noted) you mention you prefer. I admit also to not understanding the PDK thing...seriously...for a weekened fun car only the 6-speed makes sense. I hear so much about 'launching' with the PDK, blah, blah, blah,....the ability to launch/drag race a Porsche is also something I don't understand.

I live in Los angeles, so i'll be drving to malibu and around the canyons on the outskirts of LA. Once in while, i will go to fontana, and willow springs, where horsepower is a must, but so is braking and a nice suspension. I did have a 2002 turbo, and i loved the power, but at the track, the brakes and the suspension were very soft. The turbo also drops in value compared to the others.

Is a 2010 gt3 rs around 125,000 with low miles a good deal? Out of the three cars right now the deal would be on the gt3 rs.

Ofcourse there will always be city driving around town just to go to lunch or a little cruise around sunset and mulholland drive with some nice tunes. Just me without the wife and kids. I am also thinking the turbo is too civilized and does not have the look of the gt2 or gt3 rs.

If your need for speed is a priority, that narrows it down to the 2 or the S. Then if you want or need a really firm and responsive chassis and ride, and want toto be vertthe engaged with the driving of the car, the 2 is it. The S with PDK will be a rocketship on both the street and track. I love my 08 GT2 with Evoms 600 hp upgrade...

I would get a the turboS - change to motons, throw in a cage and work with EVOMS and Fabspeed to put it to the next level...then you can have the best of all three worlds.

With a "weekend" only car that will be tracked several times per year I'd opt for the GT3. Maybe a little lighter and more precise the the GT2 - it can get you to and from the track where you'll have lots of fun. 450 NA hp should be plenty fun around a circuit. Sits 10mm lower than the GT2. Power around a track is more predictable. Just my 2 cents.
