Is this normal?

I took the TTS out for the first ride of 2012. I notice that whenever I back-up and turn/cut the wheel 90-100 percent of the way I get this funny sound and
feeling. It kind of feels like the front tires are slipping on a painted line. I know I'm not imaging it because my wife notices it too. It's been doing it since purchase, April 2011. Is this normal? If not what do you think it is?

They all do it. My 2003, 2007, and 2011 all did (do) it.

My C4S has done it since new but did it less as the tires wore but always more noticable in winter. My winter set doesn't do it at all but not sure if that's because they are a different compound or a different tread pattern. Perfectly normal and has no impact on the tire that I have notice after 22 K miles on the fronts. Assume it's a function of the wide front tires and the suspension angles created when you're near maxed out with the steering wheel in reverse at slow speed. Tires are grabbing the pavement and then letting loose which is the noise you hear.
