New Badge (with pics)
SubscribeGot the idea from a post a few weeks ago
Got the 911 emblem from ebay ($31.95)
Used dental floss to remove the turbo emblem, then primed and painted with red krylon
Used 3m two sided body trim adhesive tape to put the turbo badge back on ($9 on amazon).
Took 1 hour - start to finish (used quick dry krylon)
It looks great in person

Outstanding new look. Did you need to heat the turbo emblem when using dental floss?? Even better, I like leaving the turbo emblem chrome and adding the available krylon red S. This gives the turbo S look w/o the wretched-PDK while saving tons of cash too.

+1. I'd say re-apply, tighten it up a little, between the "9 1 1" digits themselves as well as the "turbo".Originally Posted by cm09578
here is a pic of mine... I think your spacing is a little off
By the way, cool black tips, cm09578!
My car would say "2011 997.2 911 4 Turbo PDK Cabriolet"...

No and no. I don't like the lack of contrast with chrome-on-white, so I deviated it to Guards Red on the order spec. (The interior is also Carrera Red, so I have a sort of red theme going on...) The car is bone stock. (pics)Originally Posted by johnww
Your 2012 web-photo shows a red turbo S. Standard those come chrome-like. Guess you painted the emblems? Where they removed for painting??

appreciate feedback. Had no idea one could order anything aside from the chrome emblem.Originally Posted by arash
