Very sudden about 2 months ago; even had my wife apply gentle pressure as I operated the control ****. Driver's side works fine. Seems like a bad motor or fuse would result in neither working. Maybe a loose connection on that side? Please help---I'd love to avoid the dealer on this one!

Bandi, I had a similar problem with my driver side mirror. Took it to the dealer and they found nothing. Everytime I closed my door the mirror had to be re-adjusted when I got back in. By accident I fixed it myself! I set the drivers seat memory, which I had not done previously, and it was magically repaired. Don't know if you have tried that, but give it a shot.

 

old post- this fixed my passenger mirror issue. Using the memory button fixed issue i was having with passenger side mirror not responding to the mirror control switch- while drivers side worked fine.
I pushed the memory buttons 1 & 2- my passenger mirror moved to the preset setting. - after using memory buttons- the mirror switch on drivers door worked normally again moving the passenger mirror-
