Dectane tailights problem

I have concluded my due diligence with this, and I will not be going ahead, for a few reasons.
Perone is correct in the wires he has selected. They are the ones that take voltage when the proper buttons are pushed. The green/white is the fog and the green orange is the brake.
The fog light when turned on is VERY bright. The dectane light has a dual row of leds as the outline of the triangle. By design, when the fog is illuminated, the few leds at the top and bottom become single row, so as not to be too much.
This mechanism which is achieved with two wires i believe, seems to complicated for my plain electrician skills.
Also, as I do agree that the brake looks a bit awkward with that inverse C design, I have turned on the Daytime Running Lights function from my PCM, and as a result the outline of the lights is always on, reducing the effect of the pattern of the brake light.

Ha! What a great point! I guess we are all a bit twisted.
For the same reason why do I care if I have dual or single tips? Hmmm...

I am sure you can, I am not sure I want to.
Firstly, the outcome is too bright, so it would be wrong.
Secondly, it is not an easy task to change the function to turn off some lights in the middle.

Yup - exactly what I do - set the daytime driving lights on (well actually in Canada it's mandatory) so the break lights fade nicely with the rest of the display. Doesn't bother me at all, and it's a MASSIVE improvement over the OEM nonLED and any other nonOEM LED on the market. What a mouthful :P

Correct but OEM lights up "C" from the far edge by the fender and actually looks nice. Dectane is an inverted C and seems to end abruptly in the middle of the light. Regardless, looks much much better than stock.
