My new 997 TT

New to Porsche, after my Ferrari 456 was rear ended and declared a total loss. Just got the porsche this week, and detailed it and wanted to share some pics. I have much to learn, and already am impressed with the Teutonic Engineering. Way different than my F car. Looking forward to learning from from all of you.

Very nice, and in the fastest colour. Must feel more restrained than the 456, no?

so it turns out the 456 was more of a GT cruiser.. made sweet sound from the front engine v12, and on soft shock settings was almost like a luxury car.. Big turning radius, and the music from the sport exhaust at 4000 RPM was unreal.. The TT is different.. much tighter, more sophisticated, and really well built. Way fewer idiosyncrasies. Makes nice noise and pulls stronger than the Ferrari, but I think i need more Euro-noise from the exhaust. So will need some guidance as to what I should be replacing to get enough exhaust noise that I smile like I did with the ferrari, and yet still can cruise at 60-80 MPH without any drone. I also want to replace the plastic sills and maybe center pieces with Carbon Fiber but thats about it for now. I may by an old alfa so I can continue to treat my need to fix and wrench an italian car illness.

Very nice. Can't go wrong with a black TT with ceramics. Enjoy in good health.

Replace those ceramics with OEM rotors is the advice you will get a few times for sure. Your checkbook with thank you and unless you plan to go trucking eeehh....tracking... you do not need them PCCB's for sure. Great looking car and I agree with you... the 997 IS a true sport car for the aficionado.

Great looking car! For the exhaust, have a search for Europipe. Highly recommended and an extreme high build quality.

Welcome to the 997TT!!! I've owned many Alfas and lived in Atlanta as well. Were you in the Atlanta chapter of AROC?

Cheers,

Love the smoke rear lights. She looks sharp. Drive her well.
